An Orientation Program for the 2025–2026 Academic Year was organized for the students of the Department of Arabic Translation and Interpreting. Newly enrolled students attended the program, which was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in classroom ED-Z-19.

Within the scope of the program, essential information was provided to help students adapt to university life. A general introduction to the city of Bartın was presented, including information about transportation, accommodation, and social opportunities. Afterwards, students were informed about the structure and functioning of the university and faculty, their administrative organization, and communication channels.

The orientation presentation also introduced the services offered to students by the Library, Student Affairs Office, and the Departments of Health, Culture, and Sports. In addition, the requirements and opportunities of Double Major and Minor Programs, which contribute to students’ academic development, were explained.

In line with an environmentally conscious university approach, students were informed about energy and water efficiency in order to raise awareness of sustainability issues. Recycling practices and sustainability initiatives implemented throughout the university were also emphasized. Furthermore, within the framework of the “Barrier-Free Faculty” approach, information was provided about practices designed to facilitate the participation of students with disabilities in university life.

The program aimed to help students become familiar with university culture and adapt more quickly to academic and social life.
