Our Mission
The Department of Arabic Translation and Interpretation; aims to cultivate individuals who possess critical thinking skills, are inquisitive, research-oriented, and well-read—individuals who recognize that, in a globalizing world, translation is the sole academic discipline that facilitates communication between societies, languages, and cultures; who can convey the cultures of Arab countries to our nation through translation; and who can share their own cultural richness with Arab countries.

Our Vision
The Department of Arabic Translation and Interpretation aims to address the shortage of translators in our relations with Arab countries by training qualified translators in the Arabic language; to teach not only Standard Arabic but also certain Arabic dialects; and to cultivate experts proficient in both written and spoken Arabic; and to become a department that ensures full mastery of the core skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and that contributes to both national and international scientific and diplomatic contexts.
