The Peer-Reviewed Scientific Proceedings Book of the 4th International Language Congress on “Foreign Language Teaching and Linguistic Studies” Has Been Published under the Editorship of Associate Professor Mahmud KADDUM

The peer-reviewed proceedings book titled The 4th International Language Congress on “Foreign Language Teaching and Linguistic Studies” has been published under the editorship of Mahmud Kaddum. Prepared with the contributions of distinguished scholars in the field, published by Sonçağ Publishing, and consisting of three volumes and 1,700 pages, the work has now been officially released.

The congress was jointly organized by our university together with Marmara University, Constantine 1 – Frères Mentouri University, the Gulf Countries Arabic Language Education Center, Üsküdar Municipality, and Sonçağ Publishing, along with various important universities, institutions, and organizations.

Following peer-review and editorial evaluation, the papers presented at the congress by 140 scholars from 28 countries were published as a book by the international publishing house Sonçağ Publishing.

In the introductory section of the book, Mahmud Kaddum, Head of the Department of Translation and Interpreting (Arabic) at the Faculty of Letters of our university and Chair of the Congress Organizing Committee, included the following remarks:

“Foreign language education attracts the attention of specialized scholars and researchers in the field of linguistics because teaching foreign languages has become a necessity due to technological developments and contemporary challenges. Foreign languages are tools for acquiring knowledge and broadening perspectives. In this age, no one can deny or ignore the importance of language education. Language teaching has witnessed significant development and has created a substantial body of knowledge and methodology related to the characteristics and teaching of languages. Many people around the world have turned toward language learning; therefore, foreign language education has become one of the most important branches of applied linguistics.”
